Music Engineering and Production Schools

Production music - Production music is background music used for many media sources, such as television and radio advertisements. They are presented as a less expensive option than commissioning a composer for custom music or paying for the rights to use commercial music, as some organizations may find the cost for either one of the latter two options prohibitive (or at least uneconomical).

Engineering Music Society - The Engineering Music Society (EMS) was created in 1991 as an outlet for students who are not necessarily studying music, but are interested in continuing to play music. EMS was formed as a student club of The University of Melbourne, Australia (under the umbrella of the Student Union), and has grown from a small orchestra to a society with over 200 members.

Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music - The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music or ABRSM is an educational body that provides examinations in music. Often referred to simply as the "Associated Board", the organisation is based in London, but runs examination centres all over the world.
